It is the leaders that have to be changed...Many people have gone to jail for a long time for stealing a loaf of bread while some scumbags in Congress can pretty much steal and get away with conflict of interest!!!

This is beyond disbelief - and inhumane. Our country has to do much better - as does the state of LA!

Too awful for words. Invest in these kids, instead of locking them up!

Governors ignore the professional community and inflict harm on our youth. It is not “tough on crime”, it’s children first and criminalize personal decisions of women next. Cowards pretend to solve the problem while sowing fear rather than cultivating solutions that work.

This is barbaric detention. Youth offenders deserve a chance at rehabilitation to start their lives over.

Children do not belong in a maximum security prison with adult inmates, especially not Angola. This is cruel and short sighted.

Is there no one human in the prison system anymore?

This is iniquitous and surely a crime against humanity. Does the state of Louisiana still have any humanity?

As adults we must acknowledge our faults and not dismiss them, this is crutial to our survival and humanity. Though it may be hard and we might struggle through the process we must not be afraid to challenge the wrongful killing. It is not our duty to play God and judge a child, a human of circumstance. This situation is worse than abortion in light of they are already developing citizens. It is the correctional facility system at fault here and you will lose opportunity for good Americans to be grown.

Kids must *not* be placed in an adult prison, much less Angola! Invest in kids instead of punishing them—let's make a better future.
