No Ice Rink For Dundalk Market Square

Looks like a circus and is a perfect place for Xmas markets instead

It's an eyesore at the square and blocks the coffee shops that are around it. A Christmas Market and some decorations would be more appropriate.

It’s horrible looking when up and running, dirty steamed up windows and an eyesore.

Surely the ice rink system is flexible enough to be located under the trees in The Demense leaving Market Square free from this domineering skating venue.

This takes away from the area completely. The area should be used to encourage events but not an ice rink maybe a Christmas market would be better for the locals and the tourists.

Fully support idea for Christmas market. Rink should be near easier access to parking.

While the idea of an ice rink in town is nice and festive, this particular one is a hideous eyesore. Would it be possible to house it in the Penny's store in the long walk shopping centre or in the old Dunnes premises in Park street?

The ice rink is an eyesore that blocks the open, pedestrian space. This is a civic area, not one for the monopoly of one private business.

Eye sore

Have to agree, I’m not a fan of the tent at all. It really takes away from a normally very enjoyable square at what should be the best time of the year to showcase it. Would be much better off with Christmas markets or something decorative.

Businesses in the area should have a say in what goes there, they pay more than enough rates.

Surely it can go somewhere else! It’s an eyesore!!!

I don't like the enclosed squeezed square

What an eyesore Let's attract locals in to our square with a nice Xmas market or something more than one person can benefit from for Xmas.
