No public hospital should be sold without the explicit consent of the voters. A referendum on this decision is required.

If it ain’t broke, don’t fix it. My husband had CABG 2017 and received excellent care. Everyone when they have a serious problem will go to New Hanover and we live in Southport, NC. This strikes me as a money decision and not the care of the patients. The world as we know it has changed, the caliber of doctors also, let us not make the situation worse by doing this. I am hoping money will not win in this case. I was surprised when this quick process was introduced so it does not look favorable for a no. We can only hope!

This is the most underhanded, conniving , reprehensible act if the county commissioners I have ever witnessed. It is all to get big money into the county coffers so they can throw it away. They have absolutely no concern for any citizen that uses that hospital. Prices are outrageous anyway for hospital care. Icsnt imagine what the prices will be if the hospital is sold.

There are around 8,000 members in Mission Maladies in Western, NC who are dealing with what seems a terrible hospital sale which is impacted bedside providers and patients in shocking ways. Just look at Mission , Asheville YELP reviews. Do we really need more big system healthcare problems in NC?

Upon reviewing the recent comparison released by the NHRMC PAG it is very apparent that little to no consideration has been given to restructuring the current hospital into a publicaly owned multi-counry regional medical center. No reasoned justification for rejecting restructuring has been presented in the PAG conslusions. The county commissioners should table the PAG's biased review until a an objection review of restructuring, that preserves public ownership, can occur.

If it ain't broke, don't fix it. And what we have is a first class facility - no need to bring in any organization wishing to profit from this.

No hospital privatization ever saved money Or lowered healthcare .... savings for the company resulted by job middle management firings and overworked nursing staff ...
