We, the student body of Hingham High School, respectively, and honestly disagree with the unfair representation of our voice in homework. Every day we are forced to concede to the ways of school. Without knowing it, the [Hingham High] school is taking away basic rights to social freedom. All of us wake up each morning to work for six and a half hours and then go home to work for long hours. We finally drag along to the weekend, for it to last two minutes long, not to mention the excess work on the weekends. By signing this petition, the student body hopes to relinquish the pressures of homework placed upon us almost every single day.

I was just looking at the notifications and realized how many people suddenly feel the same way about this schoolwork burnout because honestly I was worried I was the only one feeling this exhausted all the time. It is wild to see this picking up speed when I started it just to vent after a really long night of studying math problems I still do not understand.

We are going to build a wall around homework, and we are going to make Duxbury pay for it. #makehinghamhighgreatagain
Homework really has no affect on our education, its pointless and does nothing. Constant studies have shown that. If we have to do anything when school ends for the day- its to study for a quiz/test upcoming, because that will impact our learning more directly. All homework does is take away time and sleep which makes our ability to learn- worse, the next day.
straight facts. i got practice until 6 then dinner and then like 3 hours of bio homework. i barely sleep and i am always stressed out. let us have a life.
After a long day of working hard and fucusing as much as possible we don't want to come home and do more, we're tired and we want to enjoy are afternoon and have fun with our friends.

homework causes unnecessary stress and anxiety in students. it forces them to get less sleep, especially in student athletes who balance sports and school. homework may affect the students mental health in an unhealthy manner, so it should be banned to help keep the students happy, stress free, and less anxious.
