Us students spend approximately 7 hours a day in school. Due to having homework this hourly rate changes to approximately 10 hours of work for a student of ages 2.5-18. At this rate we spend about half our day working. This could stop by you signing this petition. By removing homework from students daily lives it will relieve us of stress and could most likely help with depression. The worst part about it is that you might forget what you have to do with the homework and be unable to finish and this could cause you grades to decrease by a ton. Especially when we learn stuff our parents haven't yet learned in their lifetime. So when we go home and don't know what to do we can't do anything about it. Banning homework could make students social life expand exponentially. We are the "Garden State" but how is that when i'm home doing homework not being able to go outside and experience what life has to offer when i'm doing homework, studying for a test, or worrying about homework that is due tomorrow. Plus the teachers at our school have so much to do in school and now that have to even work out of their day assigning us homework and assignments that are "fun" but are just ruining our days.
