No Hobo Pantry for the Corner of Brannon Stand and Flowers Chapel

I am sure we can all drive the extra mile to get gas and survive just fine. If they build I say boycott it.

I oppose building Hobo at this location.

Convenience stores across from an elementary school pose a health hazard for children, as well as a traffic hazard.

Not the best place to have a high volume store with all the children and parents driving around. Already enough in that area.

Recommend contacting the Alabama Department of Environmental Management. The location intrudes on a natural water source (Beaver Creek) and will have an adverse impact. In addition, get the City Commissioners for Zones 4 and 5 actively involved or don't vote for them again. Lastly, solicit legal support to halt development. Be persistent! You will persevere.

Who in their right minds thinks a store that is a prime target for armed robbers should be built directly across from and elementary school?!?!?! That's a special level of stupidity right there. I promise you my household will never spend a dime in that store and neither will many either people I've spoken to. (That petition to follow soon.)

Puts the safety of every child in the school at risk. Example Grandview School was on lock down this week. It will be worse near a store that sells liquor!

I've already written a letter plus included factual articles about the dangers of gas/convenience stores concerning robberies and crime. I'm oppose to the building of the HOBO/PANTRY because I want my neighborhood to remain safe and our children to be protected against any possible harm coming to them because of the elements that frequent gas/convenience stores.

How far from a school and church must a business be located that is selling alcohol? Are the minimums being met with this proposed convenience store?

Hobo pantry will distroy property values .and increase. Crime in our area.

It should be located farther south on Brannon Stand Rd.

I just bought a house in Chapelwood 2 months ago and would appreciate this not going forward due to my property value.

Please look at the impact this will have on the local area and community.

It will be too close to the school which is already a congested area and will make it more unsafe.

An already heavily traveled road (Brannon Stand), elementary school (student drop off/pick up), peak traffic hour congestion. The proposed service station just doesn't fit with the rest of the development in the immediate area. Plus the fact that supposedly an easement had to be granted by the seller to provide for the required buffer in the back.

That intersection is very busy during school times as it is. The added pulling on and off the road at that intersections will put out children attending the school at greater risk of accident.

I believe this will create problems in many ways. Two of them being more likelihood of children getting access to beer and cigarettes. Traffic issues.
