This is a very dangerous sentiment. The promotion of artificial intelligence to make music surpresses human creativity. Instead, I would recommend an event on how to combat artificial music and uplift human artists.

There are so many necessary classes that should be put in place and so many more out-of-date business classes that need to be worked on. Why prioritize a class model that supports the very opposite value I thought this school stood for. Keep creativity alive without this course.

Generative AI provides nothing to art or society and is solely a means to commodify fulfillment of the artistic process for money, and steal money from people who create art as a job or even those who just do it for fun. It also more practically dilutes of the artistic skills and decision making capability of those using it en masse. Berklee should have nothing to do with generative AI.
