Humanity doesn't need anymore technological advancements. We need to address the ecological, economic, and sociological issues addressed by the technology we have already created and make MORE room for art and critical thinking created by HUMANS- not less room. Out with AI !

Generative AI is completely disrespectful of the talents and efforts of artists regardless of media type, and has no place in a school of wonderful musicians. Art is inherently a human creation that speaks so much about the artist and their journey and intentions. Using generative AI undermines that foundation, leaving behind a hollow creation that exists solely to exist without greater meaning.

Raising tuition and cutting staff and in return, creating a class that allows students to render their peers useless? It does not add up. Plus even with all the extra money, they can’t even pay a real artist

The use of generative AI in art and music is the opposite of makes it great. It is uncreative, inhuman, and disgusting that an institution like Berklee is teaching its students these things.
