One of, if not the worst branding decisions in the school's history. Do not set this precedent.

The "teacher" using the class as an opportunity to flog his AI startup is a damnable conflict of interest

After centuries of amazing art being made by humans and many being fortunate to make a career out of it, some institutions want to ruin this (as well as their reputations) by shoehorning in rushed, unethically trained technology into their programs. This is a crying shame and generative AI will never be art. Anyone using it are not artists. A tool may be a tool but unless the product was a whole is one's own work, done for its own sake, it will never be art.

This quote has likely been commented here before, but, "I want AI to do my laundry and dishes so that I can do art and writing, not for AI to do my art and writing so that I can do laundry and dishes."

Remove AI from music. It is shockingly believable and human sounding, but it chews into human efforts.

Teaching that it's okay to use AI trained on plagerism is an insult to the history of Berklee, the students talents and their intelligence.

AI is for taxes, spreadsheets, and mundane tasks. AI is NOT for anything art related.

As a former comp major, this is extremely upsetting and needs to be stopped.

Berklee is NOT a place to teach shortcuts - It's a school solely built around musician's creativity and skills to create something brand new. The uprise of AI is against that model - with the purpose of stealing that creativity and making homogenous and uninspired work for the sole purpose of easy profit and cutting costs. It's a mistake to be this focused on generative AI for a school so dependent on the minds of their students.
