Fck AI...and, maybe, fck Berklee too.

Absolutely disgusting and shameful what Berklee is doing. It's even more disappointing that it's a music college that is advocating for AI music. This sh*t needs to change and fast!

What Berklee is doing is soulless, a moral failing, and if they don't understand that then it may already be too late... but we need to make sure that they understand this is not economically viable either.

As an alumni of Berklee I find it concerning that Berklee thinks ai generation companies like suno are ethical, good, or frankly helpful for students to learn.

Why feed the machine that is trying to eat you and everything you love and care about?

Having a course that is about plagiarism of musical creativity, effectively producing lack of creativity and mediocracy, in an established and respected institution dedicated to a creative artform is very ironic, to say the least.

Berklee's my alma mater. I've never been more embarassed to say that.

Unregulated AI development is unethical and the technology stunts intellectual development and cognitive abilities, it is not advantageous to dilute our ability to think critically!

We want music schools to teach music writing, not prompts
