The already fragile safety of our seniors and youth will be in even greater peril.

Mayor Kelly please don’t choose to be a Failure Mayor. Lovelace/Gibson site will not be tolerated. There Is sufficient evidence of creating a worse case scenario should this site be selected. Just look at the condition of the S.E. Area in real time for starters! Come take a stroll down any of our neighborhoods from the Gibson area. You should never turn your cheek on the people of the southeast when we need you the most. Is this all this GREAT city has to offer In choices? Uhm... We are the “International District” Not the “Containment District”

Please do not place the Gateway Shelter at the old Lovelace Hospital on Gibson. The homeless overrun our Neighborhood now, theft in our yards is rampant. No Thanks we’ll pass. It’s some other areas turn to by the Front Line.

Gibson from the airport to KAFB and Sandia Labs is heavily used by very important people attending meetings etc. This shelter will shine negatively on our City to these individuals. Also it will impact our neighborhoods with crime as well as decrease the values of our properties. We have been given enough problems of this City. The City needs to spread this out into the NE and NW. Stop demotion on our Southeast Heights.

This area is already so dense and the police cannot keep up with the crime. The city is creating a disaster by operating a mega-shelter in an area that already does not have enough emergency services to protects its residents.

I am a long time resident of the area and have sadly watched as our community has deteriorated into nearly third world conditions over the past decade. This shelter would exacerbate an already tenuous situation with crime, homelessness, and an overall squalor that seems to be becoming more and more ubiquitous. I am not alone in this view, NO shelter at Gibson!

The surrounding neighborhoods around Lovelace have been inundated with homeless who have addictions and who because of those addictions don't want to abide with rules mandated by shelters. We have had the lionshare of homelessness, trash and crime in our area. Enough is enough! NO Lovelace Hospital mega shelter!

Please remove the Gibson Lovelace building from the possible homeless shelter locations...if only because of the existing burdens already placed on our neighborhood!!
