No Funding for Blake Lane Park Destruction - Transfer Land to FCPA!

Please vote this down and keep the only green space the community has access to.

Please save the park, for nature's sake, as well as for the education of the public in the value of nature.

Let's work with the community to find alternate solutions!

Remove the $35.43 million for construction of a Fairfax Oakton Area ES from the 2019 Bond Referendum. Prior to spending this money a complete boundary study of existing schools should be completed. Let’s not lose a park or spend money needlessly before a comprehensive boundary study is completed.

Please keep Blake Lane Park. A school will cause worse traffic then we already have. We need to keep our Green Space for healthy living.

Distressing to learn that the "one Fairfax Policy" w/ potential benefits to even the playing field regarding schools and equity in communities thru out the county, is being is being overrun in budget plans before it even gets started. Green space is vitally needed in large urban communities such as ours, and Fairfax should have walking parks with in every community, one of the quality of life issues that attract a large population. Lets renew schools, build up while rennovating, and allow the plan for school attendance to work itself out equitably, even though it will be a stressful process, before taking a park that is needed as surely as the schools. We should find other options than destroying park space, reapproriating old buildings is a better choice.

Save the park and start focusing more on the bigger issues FIRST in the county BEFORE building another school that's not necessarily needed. You have other schools in the county that are overcrowded and others that are at 80% capacity that need to have redistricting done to add students back in that were taken away because the school and students are being greatly affected thanks to your impenitence of not doing real studies before changing boundaries and just allowing the squeaky wheel get their way.

Please do not build on Blake Lane Park, and instead rebuild Marshall Rd and Mosby Woods schools.

After reviewing data and demographic sources of information provided by FCPS itself, there is a strong and valid argument to be made for re-adjusting school boundaries first BEFORE - constructing this new school. Please remove the $35.43 million for construction of a Fairfax Oakton Area ES from the 2019 Bond Referendum. Please allow the equity lens of the One Fairfax Policy to be applied to this specific case BEFORE building a NEW school and destroying a VALUABLE Community Park.

We need our parks.

This is important community-access green space and should be kept as is, and better promoted for use by the community.

Please find another site. Destruction of healthy and attractive green areas is a very unenlightened approach to community decision-making.

Save the green space! Keep your word and wait the year like the board said they would. So much for voting in politicians who are in favor of saving the park!
