There’s got to be another location for a new school.

We need more natural space in this area - not more schools.

My kids and dog need the Blake Lane Park, the only park in a dense population neighborhood.

We don’t want this at this location. Think Traffic, Think Safety. People speed daily on JermanTown Road now with little or no police monitoring. I vote a big no!

Please remove Blake lane school from them funding bill or change the location of the school. We need our trees and green space. Honor the community by stopping construction plans.

A reasonable alternative can easily be found. Save the park!

This park is far too important to remove. It helps to keep other parks from over crowding, it provides a safe space for residents who neighbor the park, and is local or close for many who would have to travel to get exercise for their pets. Please leave this park alone.

The community's concerns must be heard! Please do not press forward with the construction plan without consulting area residents.

Please remove Blake Lane Park from site consideration to build the Oakton/Fairfax school.  I live in Providence District, where Blake Lane Park is located. As you well know, Blake Lane Park is the largest open space available for public use in the Oakton area. Although it is mostly managed fields, there are quite a few trees in the center of the park and on its borders. Studies show that trees and parks are invaluable to human wellness as well as to the wildlife they sustain. Over the years, our green spaces and natural areas have been dwindling at an alarming rate; this is true for most of Northern Virginia, particularly in Fairfax County. I’m sure there is a site that has already been developed that could be a better choice for the elementary school than Blake Lane Park. Thank you, Toni

When deciding who to vote for for supervisor, my main criteria was their opposition to destroying this park. I didn't think any vote would be taken until after we had chosen our supervisor. Don't ram this through!

Blake Lane Park is a nice oasis for everybody in the neighborhood...! It is also a great place for kids and parents to enjoy at all times. Besides, Oakton does not need any more schools! And the whole area has been suffering of all the thousands of killed trees just for the idea of adding traffic lanes on i-66, so we need to save all the nature and trees possible! Please listen to our fair petition. Thanks!

Please remove Blake Lane Park from site consideration to build the Oakton/Fairfax school. Your constituents need your advocacy and representation more than ever! Please help us keep our only park. We opposed school planning that pits schools against parks: our children need both, and adults need parks, too. A school area is not a park - it is, for example, closed to the public much of the day, while school is in session. Blake Lane Park is the backyard of all the families living in the nearby townhouses: their one and only nearby green-space. Please hear our many voices as we look to you as our elected official who is to represent our collective wishes for the region where we live. I hope you'll hear our explicit request and act on our behalf. Thank you.
