Fraking is not good for the enviroment and we will not stand by and let this happen
Seeing two hundred and fifty signatures for our home is overwhelming. I grew up walking these fields and knowing that so many of you care about protecting this beauty gives me real hope.

No fracking in the Blackburn with Darwen area. It's already being dug up enough not to mention the fact that the water supply will be contaminated yet again and there isn't a sufficient back up plan in place to solve this problem of water contamination!

No fracking in darwen. Already experiencing the impact of fracking test sites being conducted in the area....even the dogs have been turning their noses up at the water and they would ordinarily drink water from a rain puddle....worrying evidence of environmental harm from contamination

Fracking ruins the countryside and has been linked to minor earthquakes most of darwen has been built on culverts which at best would cause subsidence on a grand scale!

Darwen has enough issues as it is with collapsing culverts & pits & collapsing victorian sewers, and is too unstable to support Fracking - the town is overwhelmed with traffic, with inadequate roads & transport.

How can we possibly know what will happen when we fracture the rocks beneath where we live and disturb the ground in this way?
