To the Masters, Senior Tutors and other policy makers of the Colleges of
Cambridge University,
Today we have woken up to find that the United Kingdom will soon be leaving
the European Union. Having talked to several students thus far from countries
which remain in the EU, there is a great worry that they could now be classed
as International students and so have their University fees increased to that
level, which is unnaffordable by many. Furthermore, this would be a retroactive
change to the financial situation that they planned and had arranged with
Student Finances and so unfair on them.
This request is an attempt to ensure that the student fees for currently
matriculated students, both undergraduate and postgraduate, from countries within the EU are kept
at their current level for the duration of their study at Cambridge.
Kind regards, Philip Binns, an undergraduate student of Gonville and Caius
College
Ridiculous. They signed up for a fixed cost. Keep your word Cambridge!
