As the owner of Exmoor ponies I am very concerned that the local council would consider putting the ponies on the hills, are they prepared to pay someone who knows what they are doing to feed and check the ponies, there is not the grazing, ponies will not eat where dogs have been, are people going to control their dogs?, or their kids!!!.ponies seem to be the easzy way out WHY does the coucilnot pay to cut the grass as its always done or put cattle on, as they have been in the past

This area is not big enough for beautiful wild ponies. They need huge areas where they can roam in freedom and not be at risk from being harmed. This should not be about "managing' Cleadon Hills, it should be all about the ponies. This is a terrible accident waiting to happen. I totally oppose Exmoor ponies being introduced to Cleadon Hills.

Bad idea!! Lots of people go drinking etc up there and it wouldn't not be a safe environment for horses. They would be terrorised by kids and that's not a fair life for them!

In the interest of the welfare of these ponies .. They must not be placed on Cleadon Hills !!

It wouldn't be long before an innocent child feeds one and loses her fingers !!! Local yobs would probably take great delight in setting a pony on fire or chase them on scrambler bikes.

This is an issue on which all local residents can agree, be they horse riders, dog walkers or people who enjoy unrestricted, safe access to a community resource. The Council's idea is unworkable.

I do not think this is in anyone's interest. Which bloody idiot thought moving ponies the length of the country was a good idea. Have they passports? Who will pay to maintain their health? No grazing for local horses, but bring in a whole new community? Really?
