Life in prison means life in prison, not spend a few years then I get to get out for church services. How pathetic.

There is no way that this person (cant even refer to her as a woman) should be allowed to go to church, i am appalled at the courts ruling :(

I remember this when it was happenning. So many people searching and offerring their sympathy to the mother as she showed such grief to the world all the while knowing that her daughter was dead by her own hands. She is a monster and if God is anywhere for her let her pray from her prison cell. I think Satan has had her place in Hell all picked out the day she took her young daughters life. Sold her soul. There is no buying it back.

Karissa can't ever get to do anything again, so this monster should not be allowed any privileges. I wish we had capital punishment in Canada. Death is what Penny deserves.

If she wants to do church she can do it in jail where convicted criminals belong. She killed her daughter to keep her boyfriend that is BS. She should not have any leaves at all.

Penny lived her. She & her daughter were members of our Sunday School/Church group. This darling child was part of us . This woman is a monster ! No way should she see the light of day ~~even at the end of her 20 yr. sentence,it would be to soon. Karissa's body lies close to us . The horror & disbelief is still fresh in our minds. We mourn at her graveside ! Please ,see that justice is served . Don't let the memory of this beautiful child be made a mockery of ! You are wrong ! Our justice system will be failing us again !
