If whatsapp developers decide its not worth their time to develop for blackberry, yes, PLEASE let there be a way to have limited features and keep whatsapp messenger.

Blackberry is nearly the only way to have a modern smartphone that has a physical keyboard and for me there is no compromise. IT MUST HAVE A PHYSICAL KEYBOARD AND WHATSAPP HAS TO RUN ON IT!

Remove WhatsApp from smartphones equipped with physical keyboard is simply crazy.
Also there are some integrated features in BB that other OS can only dream of.

WhatsApp is used extensively in east Asia. Groups are created at work to keep project members abreast of activities. I'm a part of countless groups, hiking, family, events, work, etc. To simply say move to another messaging app is non-nonsensical. Why not allow it to work without new updates - functionality now is fine!! I've used BB since early 2000's and WhatsApp from when it first came out!
But if forced to choose? - BB10 over WhatsApp any day!!
And you should rephrase your announcement: You would be forcing us to 'downgrade' to another OS, not 'upgrade'!!

I'm using bb and want to use it in the future. Whatapp desicision is like a black marketing - they push me to change the phone and the OS. So I say no to this unethical marketing practice!

The Blackberry 10 is my favorite operating system and for my opinion very good. I use WhatsApp for more then 5 years on Palm Pre and Blackberry.
I don`t use WhatsApp anymore because I don`t want to change the operating system.
WhatsApp should be for all people who used a smartphone.
