There is something completely wrong when a "tech company" such as WhatsApp (FaceBook) attempts to manipulate the mobile phone brand usage. Which will be the next mobile phone brand that will not be supported?
I love my Blackberry because it has a physical keyboard, as do others that I have talked to who have Blackberries. I would ask WhatsApp to reconsider its position and find a solution that will keep as many WhatsApp users connected.

I will make all my contacts to switch to line or BBM. I will never downgrade to a less secure mobile to be able to use your app

I don't have a BB at all, but i was thinking of to take the BB Passport in October,2016 (Then I can choose a new Mobile Phone) But since I heard the whatsapp support will end (My whole family and all my friends use it) I'm thinking it's better to choose an other Phone....///Considering what kind of Phone i Will choose ///

This is not good for families. Parents like I am who are wedded to b lackberry because we use a mobile device just about solely for email on the move can communicate still with our client by whatsapp. If you cut that generational link you are splitting up families. Could blackberry and blackberry users not contribute to the cost in some way to enable the continuance?

This is a blatant gang up to force bb out of the market. For me I'll continue to use my bb even without whatsapp or facebook. Social media is a distraction anyway. worse case, lets all go back to using BBM.

This is a unfair move, Whatsapp owes his fame and large network of users to BlackBerry, videocalls aren't a excuse for leaving BlackBerry OS behind, they could at least leave the app with no updates, but they rather prefer to take down the app itself with no ability to use it, pretty unfair, many people can't afford an Android Phone, especially here in South America.
