I do NOT want an elevated rail of any style in my neighborhood. I do not want an elevated train (noisy, dirty, ugly) operating through any part of southern Palo Alto (Charleston Meadows, Greenmeadows, Ventura, Fairmeadow, Walnut Grove, Monroe Park, Midtown). I do not want rail grade options that are called "viaduct" or "hybrid", because these are elevated rails.
We should learn from NYC's third avenue el. Elevated rail creates accoustical and visual blight, and destroys the sense of community.

We do not want elevated trains of any kind in our neighbordhood. Period. There are other options as everyone knows; one of the better options is the Charleston underpass which can be made much more aesthetic than the artist's renderings previously presented

Elevated tracks will break up the neighborhood. I consider the trench where the tracks are below grade as a superior option.

In addition to the people who have signed this petition, please keep in mind that there have been previous similar petitions and may people have spoken out against elevated options at the various meetings and forums. There have been so many meetings and forums over the past few years that citizens cannot be expected to speak up every time, over and over. I expect that many people believe they have already expressed their views. The options have not significantly changed, so all the previously expressed support for buried track options and opposition to elevated track options should be counted, too.

Please we ask that you think carefully about your decision
Involved families have the right to be concerned
Other safety issue : I believe it would be a disaster in case of serious earthquake !

I do not want any type of Elevated Train in southern Palo Alto. I thought we made our opposition clear many, many months ago- so I do not understand why it is still being considered.
