You wouldn't do this for any other holiday- like eastern or christmas- if the answer is no- than for the equality- why don't you introduce it for those days as well- or why don't you stop doing it for other faith holidays

It is requested with a deep concern that our children should be granted two authorised holidays for Eids per year. Even the church of England secondary schools are considerate.
Ashcroft has named the 5 hour detention as 'catch up' in which they don't even teach the children instead leave them
In a room on their own.
Please do something about this. Would really appreciate it.

I fully support this petition, we live in a multi faith society and our religious celebration should be respected. Catching Up hours for Eid is unacceptable.

Eid is our religious festival. Students get weeks of holidays for events like Easter and Christmas but for our eid festival we don't get a day off. Students should be given a day to celebrate eid if they can get weeks off school for other events.

This is not fair as eid is like Christmas and since this is our religious festival we should not have five hours after school just because we are not allowed to go to our religious festival!
