No Duplexes Near Grove Creek Road

I am highly opposed to this potential change and the proposed addition of these duplexes in the proximity of Grove Creek Road.

We are against this type of development using Grove Creek and residentional streets for access and egress.

I am opposed to this change. We were told over a year ago by the city that no traffic streets would be cut into Grove Road.

I strongly oppose the proposed zoning change for the multi-family units.

The increased population density and traffic would be detrimental to property values and quality of life at Brookbend grove. Please do not approve the duplexes.

Against new zoning and plans to divert traffic to grove creek

This proposed development is counter to what was originally presented for this tract of land (lot/home sizes similar to the adjacent, existing neighborhood). The surrounding roads, particularly one poorly maintained portion of Grove Creek Road, simply cannot handle the increased traffic volume nor can many of the other aspects of infrastructure in the area. We are also concerned about the environmental impact (e.g., on Grove Creek) of such high density development.

Duplexes in this location will not only erode the value of one of the few quality developments in Waxahachie, but it ultimately drives middle-class taxpayers to Midlothian.

Strongly opposed to multifamily development of any kind in the Brookbend area. This was not part of the original plan and only results in negative impacts to the neighborhood.

Traffic / access to hiway 77 difficult now. Nightmare with even more Grove Creek road traffic.

This is not consistent with the plans as presented to the Brookbend Grove residents by the City Officials.

I am strongly against developing the property as anything other than single family housing.
