Clothing should be our choice, not our teacher's. If our parents approve, so should they. Our parents can take us out of the school or enroll us in the school. They are the higher authority, not the teachers. By covering our bodies they are allowing us to give off the signal that we are insecure, when we look insecure we feel insecure. The guide book clearly states that clothing should not distract from school work, but the feeling of insecurity won't let us speak out or ask questions. The guide book says we should be respectful to other people's religion. If I were a different religion i wouldn't want to be treated differently, or change other people. Who they are shouldn't effect who we are. We respect them with attitude not with clothes. The guide book says we shouldn't provoke with clothes. Showing pockets give the appearance that shorts are shorter than they really are. With the dress code this could be considered as provoking, without it what are we provoking? The new style isn't past your finger tips, it's to your palms. If you agree sign here.
