it will be foolish of MP's to go ahead and undo the constitution, deputy ministers for what just waste of tax payers money , 50+1 is the best thing to happen to our growing democracy,. am very disappointed with this kind of backward thinking MP. the president should not sign the changes if the so happen to pass through parliament. they had the all time during the constitution review were was he this MP.

It saddens me that i have to even write about such things. PAYE is about to be increased and here are the MPs saying they want more! Lets be serious Zambia, just take a walk to places like UHT and get back to reality! The Zambian people are so used the suffering so much that they dont know any better. Parliament should be talking about how to get the little benefits to the poor citizens. If they feel they cant manage the work between MPs, PS and the civil servants then i honestly do'nt know. Let them just copy and pest the Scandinavian countries way of doing things.

No spending unnecessarily on their so-called deputy ministers. Use the money to pay back IMF if you don't have other better things to do.

our economy is already struggling this much and many of the people are failing to have a decent meal, yet you want to spend more unnecessarily, lets not duplicate positions to please our royalties, the ministers in collaboration with the civil servants in various ministries are enough to deliver the services to the people of Zambia.

As a country, our resources are running thin, and that was the reason for removing the position of Deputy Minister. We are in a worser situation now that reducing the number of government ministries (or converging similar ministries) is actually what we should be discussing.
