NO DATA CENTER! What makes San Marcos magical and special is our river and our creative arts community. An evil AI Data center will severely impact both of those things and goes against everything this town stands for.

I was born and raised in San Marcos, I grew up going to Sewell Park weekly because there was nothing else for teenagers to do in a college town besides go to the river, or find trouble elsewhere. It pains me to see the Council so beholden to greedy money. Save our water. Save our lives.

I strongly oppose the approval of the proposed data center in our community. While data centers may bring short-term economic benefits, they consume massive amounts of electricity and water, increase noise levels, and place long-term strain on local infrastructure. Our neighborhood deserves sustainable development that prioritizes residents’ quality of life, environmental responsibility, and transparent planning. I respectfully urge decision-makers to reconsider this proposal and explore alternatives that better serve the long-term interests of our community.

NO NO NO! Stop data centers, stop AI, focus on local businesses, help Texans own their own land and home, and quit lining the pockets of the already wealthy. No one wants AI, we all want clean water, clean air, safe roads- maybe fix 35, i-10, 1604, etc. since that's what we actually pay taxes for, not AI AND DATA CENTERS! Get data centers out of Texas!

I used ChatGPT 5.3 deep research mode to evaluate all pros/cons of this datacenter (on 10 dimensions) and provide an unbiased, objective score of 0-100. It gave this project a 40, with the main negative being the choice to use the water utility Crystal Clear SUD's usage over Canyon Lake usage. While there's always pros and cons to any decision, this decisions execution is heavier on the con side that the pro side.

Please prioritize water usage for humans over industries. we don’t want higher bills due to data centers and don’t want the water burden they bring.
