I went to Texas State University and will always have a place in my heart for San Marcos, Texas. It is important to me that the water stays protected.

The W.H.O. has already stated we are at the point of no return with global resources for water. What we have is all we have left.

San Marcos is so beautiful and home to so many animals and creatures. A data center would kill all of that, and potentially kill the residents as well. There isn’t very much water present due to a drought and a data center would use up whatever remaining water there is. Leaving the citizens and residents in a real water crisis that would soon start to affect the surrounding counties. Please do NOT allow this data center to be built!

Let’s figure out the water situation for the people who live and work here before we invite any more industrial users to use far more precious water than the citizens. We aren’t against industry, we are against relinquishing our resources to non-humans who have no long term interests in local well being.

First it’s taking away our waterways that we get to enjoy in the VERY HOT summer time in Texas. Second, it will start making our people sick. Please stop trying to kill us over AI slop.

Data centers create localized pollution, use inordinate amounts of local water resources, but do not support the local economy.

We are in dire straits EVERY year for water and we have been in. A stage 3 or higher drought for so many years now I’ve lost count. People need to cut consumption and we need to say NO, NO, NO to companies and extra large housing developments like these Godzilla monsters who will consume all of our natural resources and not give a flip about the little man! Data centers really don’t bring job growth or opportunity to our area except for the initial process of building them!

The thought that we need to build more and take more from the earth is ridiculous I stand with earth and hope to stop the billionaires from raping the earth even more than they have done already

I can't believe this is even being entertained. To all elected officials who have the power to stop or hinder this, we are watching you. We are paying attention. If you want any hope for re-election we expect you to behave accordingly. Not taking action will be interpreted as action against the people, the river, and the greater good of all. We will remember.
We need our water , not computers .
