Horrid to have a data center. I don't understand why would locals and students need this? Waters will never be the same if this is done. Data is not worth dirty brown water. There are residents right now in georgia and some in Texas that have spoken about their water never being the same.

Rushing a data center development without adequate research or provision for water quality, sustainability, and environmental protections is LUDICROUS ! It is plainly stupid and greedy, shortsighted, and evidence of the absence of character. WE ARE IN DROUGHT AS IT IS! Whatever pressure to push this forward, is not of wisdom. Great monetary gain and sound investment CAN COEXIST with stewardship towards our natural resources. Not later, NOW. I pray for an expression of divine intelligence in our leaders, it is needed. May God bless them with it, the sooner the better.

Our water situation is reaching a critical point and the water demand that an AI data center needs will be catastrophic for our population. The electric demand alone would put the cost burden on the people that already live here and I see NO benefit for the San Marcos community. These AI data companies are shady about the true cost of these utilities for a reason; they want to push the burden onto taxpayers to subsidize their business while providing minimal jobs and zero benefits to San Marcos. This will harm our community, pillage our delicate ecosystem, and price out an already impoverished population all to acquiesce a few men who don’t care about San Marcos. They only seek to steal our resources and tax dollars for their profit while devastating our fragile environment.

We need clean enjoyable rivers in Texas. We have enough polluted waterways already in the name of progress. It needs to stop.

We need to protect our region’s water more now than ever - not jeopardize it more than ever.
