Data centers should not be created it is ACTIVELY hurting our country, states, and communities. I’m signing this petition to stop the creation of Data Centers in San Marcos. I myself an 8th grader is trying to stop the creation of these buildings. There is a Data Center that is currently being built in my area, and I want to stop it. I’m trying to create a petition to stop them from being built in the San Antonio area in general. These Data Centers aren’t a joke people.

Because I have zero interest in data centers and AI being forced down our throats and taking one of our biggest human essentials. In a state that already suffers from serious yearly droughts, these data centers will only make water more scarce, and our electric bills outrages. WE DO NOT WANT THEM!

I currently go to Texas State University and I am already anti AI as it is. I was so proud of my little town when I heard that it was banning data centers, and I would love to keep it that way. I truly believe that it is dangerous, I really hope my voice matters.
