It is possible that NOT having access to some online instruction/resources is just as much an inequity. Online access must also be a right.

We owe it to the future generations to invest in them. We were already struggling in educating before the pandemic; now is the time to step up and work towards providing the best for students ask over NM.

We stand in solidarity as a community around these four principles: -We demand a safe return to the classroom, based on scientific standards. -We demand that online learning must be temporary. -We demand that school funding be a budget priority. -We demand that teachers, representing each district in the state, are included on the PED School Reentry Task Force.

Austerity is not the way to go to bring economic equity To the working poor and People of color. For far too long systematic racism and unjust decision making has put NM last. It s time to turn this around in NM.

Our children's education must not be held hostage by the giant fossil fuel industry and the NMOAGA any longer. It cares nothing for their lives. Their future depends on a swift and just transition. The future is now.

Now, more than ever, professional educators are essential workers. We cannot be replaced with online, pre-fabricated “learning” experiences. Our children and communities deserve better.
