I agree with this not being the proper location for a business of this type.

While not a lakefront owner, living in the bordering subdivision adjacent to South Shore I can see the potential impact to our subdivision as well. I have forwarded this information to our Board of Directors in the hope they will circulate this information through our association in an effort to gain additional signatures for your petition.

There was already a car wash across the street that went out of business. Why do they think this one will succeed? If they truly believe it will, then why didn't they just use the site across the street?

There to be many other locations where this kind of operation would not disrupt a neighborhood.

We don't need another car wash, especially that big and right near Watkins Lake.

Waterford does not need an additional car wash. For the record, we also don’t need more Uhaul storage, check cashing places or big chain pharmacies.

As a homeowner on Whitney Road , we would be directly impacted by the increased traffic created by this car wash. As it stands now, because of the tire store, Leslie Tire, we have semi-trucks and trailers driving in front of our home to turn around to go back to M-59 which has caused damage to our landscaping and trees. Also, we are concerned that this car wash location will increase car accidents between Pontiac Lake Rd and Whitney Dr. since this is already a high traffic area with cars entering/exiting M59 for the Lions Den restaurant. Currently, to make a left turn onto M59 from Whitney it is necessary to turn into the middle turning late to wait for traffic to clear before entering the lane of traffic. With the car wash adding additional cars using the middle lane, I can see accidents increasing in that tight area.

We don't need another carwash, there is like 20 already in Waterford ! One just closed down less than a quarter mile down the road between the Harley Store and the Rolladium because they couldn't make it !

This Car Wash in this area is terrible. Use the one on M 59 east of Cass Lake Road.

1) The additional emissions and exhaust fumes from vehicles idling in line at the car wash and exiting to Whitney will be detrimental to the air quality in the neighborhood that is already poor due to normal M 59 passing volume. This is a safety issue and will be detrimental to people's health. These emissions will also be detrimental to residential property values in the neighborhood.
2) The additional noise from vehicle exhausts and audio systems from the added volume of cars this close to the neighborhood will be detrimental to people's health and property values.

It’s difficult enough for South Shore residents to turn from Whitney onto Highland Rd. due to traffic and to the awkward angle of these two streets. The congestion that the described car wash would produce would be not only difficult but downright dangerous - for car wash patrons as well as for us residents! Serious accidents would be inevitable.
