We need to put our value in our teachers and students not a corrupt administrator that is under investigation by the TBI.

It is time for a change. No new contract and no pay raise. It is not fair to cut jobs and take away from hard working people to give yourself a raise!!!

Tim Blankenship is not saving any money with these cuts. Any money saved is going to be put toward his huge raise that he is trying to get pushed through along with a four year contract. He is raising Sequoyah High School's Principal pay so he can say that he needs to be making more then his principals. We need to vote against every school board member that votes for his new contract. No other School Systems have all these constant changes. Tim Blankenship also had a door installed in his office to the outside so he can sneak out and hide when parents and teachers need to see him. No contract and removed from this office.

I vote no...I think going back to electing a director would solve one problem, maybe they would Work harder for our school system and our children...why does he need a raise? The money could be used to help the less unfortunate students with school fees !

I am so disgusted by the directors recent actions my mother dedicated 20 plus years to the monroe county school system and Friday she was told she wouldnt be rehired next year. The sad part is she loved this school system. She had worked about 21 years for them and 5 years ago she got really bad sick to the point she couldnt work. So she took off 2 years and worked on her health and got back to feeling great again so she was estatic to get to teach again they hired her back but as a result of her taking those 2 years off she lost her tenure. Well she has been back for 3 years doing great with high test scores and is a level 5 teacher with tons of students who love her due to her dedication to helping them in the class room and with other difficult situations they faced with their home life. And he just decided not to rehire her we guess because he can pay someone less than her because of the experience she has, others with less experience can be paid less money. Another sad thing is she isnt sure what the reason was because she went to see him for an explanation and he treated her like a common criminal and would not speak to her and wouldnt listen to her by constantly repeating the same thing over and over. That he dont owe her any explanation its best for monroe county schools is what he said. Now how is letting go a teacher with 20 plus years of experience, high test scores and a great love for children helping the county? And to beat it all they are going on principal number 4 within the last few years at Vonore Elementary. Sounds to me like he is doing the best thing for his own pockets. Do not let this man ruin our school systems by his own GREED!
