We need new leadership for our county school system. Mr. Blankenship is trying to balance his budget before July 1st in an irresponsible manner. We not only need to vote no to a raise for him or contract but we need a change at Central Office beginning in his office.

I vote no! Look at all the horrible decisions being made. He let 90 people go or moved them around. The reason why he said was because to save money no that's a huge lie. When I know of a teacher being moved from the school she worked at and replaced by another from another school. The only reason why is because retaliation. This lady spoke up for her school and didn't say anything out of the way but she's being transferred to another place. The principal of this school is being moved also bc she spoke up for her school. She is going to be a teacher now. Both people had excellent scores and came from a 4 school. The rumor has it that joey debty will be the new principal that is a law suit bc you are suppose to advertise the job b4 letting the whole county know who you are hiring. Tim is fearless he is obviously on a power trip but he is getting sued from 3 people that I know of right now. He says he is saving money but yet he created a special education job for one person to file paper work and do ieps this person will not be serving kids. How is this saving money? I could go on and on but I'm going to stop here he is very vindictive.

Vote No! Tim Blankenship has NO LEADERSHIP. Look at all the bad things that has happened since he took this position. We will not forget when election time comes.

This county's educational system has been declining for some time now. He has ONLY made things worse. Our children are no longer learning. They are being pushed through the system just to make this county look better. This man has no compassion for children. His only agenda is for himself. He hasn't made a positive difference while he's been in office. It's time for change. We need someone who puts the children FIRST.

I have to question the board members on this!! Why are they trying to put this man up on a pedestal? They want to give him a new 4 yr contract with a huge raise and at the last meeting they wanted him to have a company car because he didn't need to put the wear and tear on his own car! Really? When one comment on here says that Tellico lost their school Band because of no funding. And all the wonderful teachers that he has fired. Teachers that have put years of dedication into the kids and schools. "Budget cuts" he says, well tell me this then why has he set the principle at Sequoyah high school at a $23,000 yr increase? I will tell you why if he gets this contract it is stated that school board director has to make more than the principles well there you go big big raise for him in the meantime the teachers he fired could possibly loose everything they have. But his decision didn't come lightly he says!! He is full of it. His decisions come fast and hard and he don't care who he hurts in the process!! I for one put a lot of the blame on some of the school board members they feed the monster! Go to a meeting and just see which ones praise all his decisions because we can VOTE school board members OUT!!!!!

An unelected (or even elected) official should not have the power to make decisions for the entire County population, without the presentation of and approval of the elected Board members.
