The prank that the class of 2015 done was awful, but there were kids that didn't do any damage. He didn't give us a chance to take up for ourselves. Tim took away something that most of us will never experience in a life time, and that's was to graduate. We've worked hard for 13 years, for what? Most of us didn't graduate because of what a handful of students did. High School graduation is something that comes once in a life time, and it's a great memory to experience. Because of Tim we missed out on something that we've worked so hard for. He made me, as a student, feel like I worked hard for nothing. The community makes me feel like I'm lower then dirt. For what? For walking in and seeing what was done and walking out? This is my reason for signing the petition.

Moving and cutting these teachers is ridiculous! I understand needing budget cuts but make cuts where cuts are actually needed. Look at CSH Director making 40+ thousand and what does she so? Not 40,000 worth!!! What about these teachers that have been in trouble for drinking, stealing, and lets not even start with one of the teachers that has been called in over and over again about having affairs with co-workers and facebook bar pictures and being warned several times yet it still went on and nope she kept her job. Cut the ones that you have problems first not the level 5 teachers that have no prior issues and higher test scores. The selection process for this just does not add up. If they HAVE to cut all these positions, how can they hire new teachers. Why even hire new teachers when you fired experienced ones to begin with. AND...if we cannot afford their positions how in the world can we afford to give a pay raise to Tim. Granted this wasn't all candy and rainbows when he came in but this board is bad news. Steve Rogers is not the only board member here. Just because he speaks up does not mean the others do not say the same things in private....look at Lovingood the first thing he did as Vonore Mayor is sue the county for 1 million. And HE was the one that wants a brand spanking new school for 250 students for Vonore. Ummm..excuse me Mr. Lovingood, are you going to use that 1.3 million to put toward that new school.??? I highly doubt it since he is ALL about what is best for him. Maybe if Tim has a few better board members, they won't have him doing all this stupid, unfair actions and our school system won't be corrupt. I mean watch the meetings you also have board members that sit back and DO NOT SAY A WORD then come running to the people saying I have no clue, oh my goodness this is just awful!! Pssh! Yeahm right!

Even living out of State, I still hear about some unprofessional things that he has done. He is terrible for Monroe County, and extending his contract would be a huge mistake.

School board members i am coming to a meeting to hear why you think this man is so great i urge others to do so as well. Please tell me how you can uphold a man that so easily turns peoples lives upside down. I am sure he could have made other changes to improve the budget. I think he should be made to give these teachers a explanation as to why they was chosen to be let go or moved it sounds like he chose the ones that has stood up to him or did not have the same opinion as he did i have seen on here that one teacher had been there for 20 yrs and i know one that has been almost as long and both had great scores and never any marks against them they was wonderful teachers whose students loved them dearly. I would love to know what his salary is gonna be with a new contract why don't he cut his own pay to help with budget cuts I am curious does the board members vote on these budget cuts also or is all the power given to him? And i agree with someone else on here about the way he treated the seniors that was innocent of vandalizing the school. He should have let the media know that only a few kids did the actual bad stuff. It is kinda like this lets say there was a peaceful protest going on and most marched around with signs and chanted words but a few at the protest started getting violent do you take the person standing there holding the sign to jail and charge them with the same crime as the person that was out of hand and being violent? Let's just say the violent person hit a police officer should that police officer grab up the violent person along with the guy holding the sign and charge them both with assaulting a police officer just because they was both at the same protest Then do you sentence them without letting them defend themselves? Well that is kinda what happened to these kids some was innocent some was not but they ALL got treated like criminals they ALL got labeled as kids that vandalized the school. They ALL got sentenced with the same crime. He sh

Sign the petition and call your Board Members. Make sure you call the board member who takes care of employees that he is associated through baseball.

The super intendent should in my opinion step down and allow someone that actually cares about these children and their achievements, that is what is most important... Moving teachers because they, good teachers, care About their students enough to fight for them,,, Blankinship needs to go

I didn't come on here to debate the 2015 class graduation but i am going to voice my opinion to the board members if they even care enough to read these comments. I think Tim Blankenship's rushed decision to take away a once in a lifetime milestone caused a lot of pain and divided a town. There was a lot of different ways he could have handled that situation. If he would have let the kids speak like you should do if you are going to accuse someone of a crime before passing his sentence he would have found many kids completely and totally innocent of any acts of vandalism. Most was not even there when the vandalism happened. But we have a director that past down his judgement without getting all the facts. Without hearing all sides. Not caring at all that he just took away a life long dream of a child and their parents of walking across the stage and being recognized for 13yrs of hard work. Tim Blankenship did just this to a honor student who has never been in trouble a day in her life simply because she walked in the school that night seen a mess and walked out. Had he cared about the students he would have heard many stories like hers about that night. His punishment did not fit the crime for the kids who went and blew up balloons and rolled a little toilet paper down the hall. Because of the way he handled it hundreds of kids are being called trash to scum and everything in between because he made no separation between the ones that vandalized and the ones that blew up balloons. He just falsely accused them all of committing acts of vandalism. And now he is firing teachers right and left and giving them no other reason but because it is good for Monroe counties budget! He absolutely thinks about nobody but himself. It's his way or the highway! He is not the man to be head of all the decisions concerning our kids because he does not really care about them.

There is an active order of protection on our Superintendent of Schools Tim Blankenship. Thank you to the Monroe County School Board for covering this up. Several of the school board members have children or relatives that work for the school system. Tim Blankenship gives them the jobs they want and allows them to keep these jobs without being moved or fired. Do some checking on these school board members and you will see their children, in-laws, nieces have not been touched. Not one of them. This is insane! Shame on you School Board Members. We will be at the polls reminding everyone who walks in what you have done if you give this embarrassing human being another contract.

the director does not deserve a contract, nor does he deserve his position as director of schools. He goes about his choices as if he was a child, and he doesn't belong there. He gets drunk with power and abuses that power into ruining the education of every child in the education system. Just saying.

I would like the school board members to take into consideration that their jobs could be in danger if they keep backing this man. From the look of this petition he has really effected a lot of people in a negative way, and i guarantee these people and all of their families will be at the voting booths to vote you out if you press forward with this contract. He has made some really bad decisions concerning the good of the children in Monroe County schools! I really can not believe that the board members think that he has done such a great job that they want to give him a 4yr contract with a fat raise! I think that any board members that vote yes on a new contract for him needs to GO!

This school official does not deserve to be rehired and certainly does not deserve a raise. He is responsible for teachers not being rehired who desperately need their jobs. The school system will feel a great void of education and welfare of its students. He did not follow the school system's handbook of standards of procedure for the class of 2015 graduation class. Please remove him and elect an official who has the students and employees welfare at the top of the county's agenda

I found out about this petition and logged on to sign it because Tim Blankenship has embarrased Monroe Cointy Schools. There is no way good teachers will ever want to come here and teach our students. If they spoke up or were related to someone that Tim Blankenship had a vendetta with, then they would be forced out of their job. In closing when I saw over 400 signatures at this point against Tim Blankenship all I could think of was over 400 votes against the school board members that vote for his huge raise and to keep him in as Director of Schools. 400 + votes will beat you in an election. No one will forget!!
