All boating services are in decline.
Very few boaters have anything positive to say about crt. The "workers" and volunteers are amazing. Management needs replacing with people who care.

I can see CRT are more interested in the new logo than the lock 81 GU and thr towpath with sink holes appearing.

CRT seems more interested in being a good face to the non boating public, while treating the licence paying boaters like pond scum and an unwanted enemy of the canals.

I have no confidence in The CRT. They are destroying the canal and river networks.

Fail to maintain basic facilities in London (specifically pump outs). This has lead to our toilet breaking and my 8.5 months pregnant partner having to find cafés to use the toilet.

Absolutely no knowledge or interest in boating. They said that signage with the new logo would only be phased in gradually but they have put up a lot of new (looks expensive) signs all over the network already. New signs in Skipton but the flush on the elsan disposal is not working. I could go on & on & on but life is too short.

Some great staff and volunteers, but the management is typical of the out of touch, self-aggrandising and self congratulatory kind that afflicts so many today. The job is to save, maintain and salvage a network, not spend £££££s on branding, bonuses and promoting the chums!

C&RT are more concerned with campaigns for everyone to use the upgraded cycle routes -sorry canal towpaths. The state of our canal network is getting worse every day.

As the C&RT is a charity and in a place of dominance they should be fully open to scrutiny. Judging by their performance over the last five years they have proved to be clueless in the running of the nation's canals and rivers, the preservation of historic vessels, and the maintenance of the waterways infrastructure. They have alienated their main paying customers (Boaters) and caused animosity between sections of the boating community.
