The 'wellbeing' of the inland waterways is my concern. Boaters are the lifeblood of the system- without their support, and licence fee, the waterways will decay, and so will the CRT. How will CRT bring new users to areas such as camp hill and garrison locks when they are swamped with rubbish and graffiti . Ps . Thankfully the locks themselves are in excellent working order thanks to the local CRT team seen today wearing their newly issued tops but wearing old ones underneath. They have only been issued one.

Keep pushing things on.or it will be new rules and regulations. Things change overnight with no consultation with the people it effects.the Boat people.

What a shambles this new logo is. And I am a ‘Friend’ of the C&RT as well.
I might even stop being a ‘Friend’ if any more is mucked up by the Management.

CRT are now dependant on volunteers to do work on the canal system and lots of them are a little fed up with being taken for granted . You are only given basic health and safety training when you volunteer and tools are not fit for purpose most of the time .Managers seem afraid to spend money on tools to make jobs easy afraid of upsetting the people at the top on large salarys .Contractors are not fit for purpose only do the minimum to keep their costs down as they tender to low ?.All CRT do is spy on volunteers to see if they do the hours they book that shows how much trust they have in them . I used to volunteer up to 40 hours a week but got fed up with being watched by their spies they also do the same on their full time workers and most of them are afraid of loosing their jobs to volunteers .Their full time workers are very dedicated to their job if they were only aloud to get on with it and do repairs properly instead of bodge jobs which are not fit for purpose but they are afraid to speak up .These are the men and women that should be running the waterways not a load of do guders .I could go on but how long would it take the canals are for the boaters that pay to use them so the money should be spent on them not people that only look at the canals .

I have no confidence in CRT and believe that boaters should run the organisation or a new organisation it would be better run than the ex police force that currently run CRT.

The rebranding is a disgrace when so much money needs to be spent on the upkeep of the system.

Don't see any work, including dredging being done by CRT. Only by volunteers. Considering the amount of money they collect from us all, I would have expected a better service .

Fed up of our engine getting bashed because some things in the bottom of the canal, or getting wedged in a lock and having our paintwork damaged because the lock won't open properly, or them being so difficult to open it hurts... fed up

Maybe if action was taken by ALL boaters and we withheld our licence fees, we would stop giving them money to waste. We live on the canals. We know and see the problems everyday. Lots of words are spoken but no results are ever forthcoming.

Just take a look at the overgrown vegetation on the towpath and non towpath side which is severely limiting the size of the canal and you clearly see that too little is being done, too late by a totally incompetent so called 'Canal & River Trust'.

The C&RT are a badly organised company with a flagrant disregard for people who live on the waterways. They should have a legal obligation of duty of care for people who live on the water. If they evict someone from their home they should be duty bound to find them another home. They are reducing the amount of time people can stay in areas to force local people on to highly expensive C&RT moorings. They don't repair shower facilities, the don't repair pump-out facilities they even don't look after the toilets. They say they have been vandalized then shut them down. Decreasing the amount they have to look after to save money. They are closing rubbish points, and not emptying the others that over flow! But they spend money on lavish parties for their volunteers! How can they say they are looking after the waterways when they encourage unsanitary conditions along the waterway!
As a company they need to be held responsible and accountable for their actions!

Get rid of this blinkered, totally expoitive wastefull incompetent not fit for purpose outfit and replace the whole rotten show with a focussed coherrant forward thinking body of people who are able to bring the waterway network to take it's share of freight transport, and to bring the rivers back to navigable status . CRT have got to go.

I feel that the latest decision by crt to waste money on a new logo is a poor one, changing the logo will not dredge shallow canals, changing the logo will not cut back reeds etc or repair faulty locks, a new logo is not needed.
