Its time for a long overdue change and to protect our waterways from the parasites that are stripping its assets.

CRT repeatedly increase my licence and ooring fees but are unable to enforce action against those who don't contribute. They don't monitor the waterways or facilities, nor adequately repair problems. They don't monitor their work staff who often spend hours drinking coffee because they don't have a job ticket - the usual response is " it's not my responsibility". Time for change is nigh.

I’ve spoken to many boaters over the system in my travels and they ALL say that things are going from bad to worse and it’s s bloody disgrace what’s happening. !!!!! Very very poor management from people who do not boat the waterways.

Ever since crt took over the canals they have blatantly ignored boaters group s who's members have offered to help. And the waste of time and money is scandalous.

They ought to hang their heads in shame.
Yet another breach on the canal system thats 5 or 6 so far this year. When preventative work actually took place we would have 1 every couple of years. Soon we won’t be able to travel anywhere due to breaches. Norbury junction (shelmore embankment) will go soon.
They would rather spend money on on grand days out for the top brass and wasting money hand over fist.
For gods sake CRT go now and don’t let the door hit your arse on the way out

CRT appealed for donations towards the breach at middlewich so I donated £25
Two days later they announced the rebranding. I’ve been taken for a mug. It needs to be established how much charity money was wasted on this abysmal waste of cash. How much is being spent on new stationery plus the wasted old stuff. Clothing new and old, signage and logos on vans etc

There is scant oversight and no independent ombudsman dealing with CRT. It has become a nice earner for myriad overpaid managers with vague job titles, while staff on the ground are being replaced by volunteers.
The Government needs to investigate CRT while they are still in receipt of taxpayers money.
