Restoration of this rail line is an ill-advised project - environmentally and economically.

Time to get really serious about ending fossil fuel usage. Time waits for no one. CA has to lead the way.

NO! This toxic train has no right to spoil our communities! Businesses are destroying this planet, they have no regard for people and their health. It’s completely disgraceful and downright dangerous.

How can we even consider shipping this toxic material through our fragile environment? And it's not only our immediate environment, it's affecting where it is mined, all the places it passes through, and where it will ultimately be burned. To say nothing of the cost and carbon footprint of such an ill-advised action.

Didn't the scientists explain that coal must stay in the ground for humans to survive on earth?

Offshoring our carbon pollution is not the answer to any of our problems. Leave the coal in the ground!

We need legislation that will put a final stop to this industry, provide assistance for its former workers and help them prepare for other employment.
