This must be stopped. Just one factor: imagine the huge jam of vehicles stopped for an hour while all the rail guards are down as a mile plus long coal train wends its way through Santa Rosa.

I agree - it would be a plus to have a passenger train to accompany the hiking trial, but a repair of the line would invite coal, etc.
