End coal energy now! Leave it in the ground and focus on solar and wind energy sources!

NO WAY to coal transport on North-coast California rail lines! What an unbelievably backward-thinking proposal for the land, water, and communities (human and non-human) of this region or for the climate. Preserve Rails to Trails!

Shipping coal by train is too risky. The CA North Coast has many natural areas that would be damaged by this plan. Public comment is essential. The North Coast rail route is so damaged that no funds should be spent rebuilding it (if even possible, which I doubt). The Great Redwood Trail is vitally important to our state and the North Coast - we need it. The world does not need coal. Let's work toward a sustainable energy future - no fossil fuels.

Would a Tshirt Fundraiser denouncing this travesty be of any help? Proceeds going to the effort to Stop it.

This is one of the most beautiful places in the United States. Do not allow it to be damaged. And we do not need to encourage any nation to burn more coal to put more greenhouse gases into the already polluted air.

This is a horrible idea. Is local people don't want this is or area. Not only that, but it's environmentally unfriendly to the world as a whole.

We really don't need any trains with toxic materials going through our countryside, especially carrying coal which in turn will create more air pollution when burned. This is not the way to transition away from fossil fuels.
