Living in the north bay and dealing with so many crises that are around our area. We do NOT need to add a coal train to our list of burdens. Please do not allow this train carrying outdated and harmful form of harnessing energy through our area. It is a know toxin when burned and only adds to the climate change-fueled disasters that continue to plague our region, such as wildfires and drought.

Hey people who make big money on coal: it’s time to stop. There are many things you can do with your life that are fun, interesting and not as suicidal/homicidal as this.

As each summer is hotter than the last and the west burns more dramatically each year, how is it possible that anyone could conceive of or support such a plan?

The proposed train route is an absolute travesty, we should not be sending this through a national treasure, especially at a time when it’s so crucial to move aaay from fossil fuels!

This is not an environmentally feasible option, the current railroad track system is beyond repair and could never be rebuilt at its current location while meeting current environmental regulations. Bret Rinehart, PE Rinehart Engineering
