Fire Center In Plain Neighborhood?

I would like to know what makes the Hawkins land you speak of more centrally located that’s like 20 minuet response time just to get there for most responders when they said the bulk of responders are out of the Plain station you do realize they have been landing medical helicopters at the Plain station for at least 20 years right being around this are for more the 35 years I remember not having a fire department I remember when they built that station in plain long before any of you built there just because you have money and built buy a fire station that kinda like the fouls that build next to a farm then complain of the smell you just on them in someone else’s backyard who doesn’t have money

Why didn’t you got to the meeting all of lake Wenatchee and Plain know about maybe some of the weekenders don’t because they are not involved in what’s going on here

what about all your stations right next to homes in Seattle where you play fireman but that’s ok right because nobody should be around your vacation home right

I’ve been involved in quite a few training burns they don’t you class B or any foam you are misinformed on the subject of training burns maybe back in the day they used foam but I heard the chief say they were going to have their live burn training up at lake Wenatchee site.

I attended one town meeting and was struck by how little the Fire Department could factually tell us about what they were really doing. this is a quiet and beautiful neighborhood that would be forever changed in a negative way .

We have owned property in the immediate vicinity of the school land for more than twenty years. The comments from Kathy Prentice are extremely thoughtful and express our thinking as well. As far as any live training is concerned, I would also add that the use of Class B fire foam (used for fuel fire suppression) in training exercises is a concern due to the potential for impacts to shallow drinking water wells. Although there has been recent legislative action on this subject existing stocks may still contain PFOA compounds. As one example Whidbey Island is addressing this issue from past Navy live fire training releases. Respectfully--

I think this website and petition is the biggest and most disrespectful piece of junk that I have ever seen in this community. You all have NO idea what you are talking about and I hope you NEVER need the services of the amazing volunteer firefighters that you are pissing on.

You should ask the friends of rural plain to get their fact straight and remove the flat out lies on their website... or maybe better yet, you should take it upon yourself to get your OWN facts.

You vote in elected officials to do this for you. School Board, Fire Commissioners, County Commissioners. You don't have to blindly support anything... you can be as aware of the process as anyone else... I guess thats on you..
