No Change to Solid Waste disposal Putnam County Ga

This will be disastrous for the weekenders! Trash sitting out until picked up and then the cans sitting out until they return! Not to mention the distance that some will need to go to the end of their driveway at the lake! What about the elderly? Totally against this!!!

Keep our convenience centers. Don't want to be forces to pay for this service. Don't want them using my driveway. Don't trust them not to spill more trash along our roadway making an even bigger mess.

Please leave things the way they are. Enough trash on our roads now. I once had curb service and had to cancel because of the stress on legs and back getting it up and down the drive.

Rolling trash cans leave large amounts of trash on the roads. Citizens need locations to carry trash that will not fit in a rolling can. Keep the convenience centers open and save money by not paying someone to sit in a little shed and do nothing.

Please do not close convenient centers. My driveway is a steep gravel driveway over 700 ft long. No way I can take a can back and forth so it would sit at the street all the time. Convenience center is best option for most everyone I know. Also Advanced has a terrible reputation as already indicated by others.

Our gravel driveway is too long and rough for two over 70 year olds to push a heavy, unwieldy garbage cart to the road. Our neighborhood bylaws would not allow us to keep it on the street all of the time. Closing the convenience centers would be a very hard burden on us. Why not float the idea of charging a nominal fee on a sliding scale per bag/ pick-up truck load if more money is needed. This system seemed to work well in Cumming, GA where we used to live.

PLEASE DO NOT CHANGE THE CURRENT RECYCLING CENTER POLICY. PLEASE KEEP THEM OPEN.

Please keep the convenience centers open we don’t need MORE trucks on our roads every week. It’s more fuel expenditures unnecessarily by the company.

If PCC believes No change to current system will result in increased cost to all county residences, hold public meetings announced well in advance to explain why this is true and what options have been explored, then get bids to determine lowest cost option and repeat public meetings to inform all taxpayers of results. I currently use ADS curbside service. It is reliable, but cost went up in 2017 from $60/qtr to $90/qtr = 50% with no prior notification. I also make weekly trips to my Recycling center to dispose of recycling vs. putting that it my trash dumpster. Two curbside dumpers would presumably double my cost to $180/qtr. Not my first choice.

These changes will make garbage pickup a nightmare for residents and visitors alike. I say bid out the contract!

I think it would be a mistake to close the centers. Now, if one accumulates a lot of "garbage," (say, due to a large party) one can get rid of it "now," and not have to wait until next week. Rolling a big box to the street will be a hardship for those with long, steep driveways. Doubt the garbage pickup would handle large items, like Christmas trees for example. If this is a cost issue, either find some savings elsewhere, or add a mil. This is a very good county service; one worth paying for.

Some reduction in the number of convenience centers might be merited to reduce costs, but eliminating all would be a disservice to users.

We firmly support the current system. It fits our needs very well and contributes to cleaner roadsides throughout the county!

The convenience centers are a great service and a wise use of tax dollars. I’m strongly against the proposed changes.

We paid for garbage pickup for several years. Service from Advanced Disposal was so poor, we cancelled and have used the facility on Wards Chapel Road for about 3 years.

Centers are very convient for me. Going to pick up will eventually cost more.
