Please do not change the school times. The change would make it difficult if not impossible for me to help with my grandchildren.

Moving to Hartland this month and my oldest will be starting high school. Hartland doesn’t have the ability to transport with this new schedule and I don’t want my child coming home later than she already does. Everything will have to be pushed back and she’ll just end up going to bed later.

No change! The current schedule has run for years with no problems at all. The current schedule prepares the students for what the real world is like. It is also a nightmare for working parents - adding a huge cost for those who will no need daycare. Additionally, with everything starting later that just means they get to bed later so in the long run the time changes won't have any impact. Don't try to fix something that isn't broken.

No change! The negatives for elementary students and their families far outweigh any small “possible” improvements for High School kids.

Why throw the community into upheaval for potential 1-4%?!

Lacks coordination with other towns, lacks ecosystem understanding of actual impact and will lead to even more inefficiencies that lead to more out of pocket expenses in a state trying to solution via taxes. This helps the 1 percent and hurts 99%. No phones or tablets after certain times will help a lot more than this.

I am from Hartland and my son will be attending Granby High in 2 years. My two daughters graduated from Granby High and made it through the current scheduling just fine. There were days that they were tired if they chose to stay up too late but the early schedule prepared them for life after high school and the working world. My girls graduated with honors, kept up with dance, drama club and other after school activities just fine. Since I can remember High School has always had an earlier schedule but we made it through. High School is meant to mold our teenagers into young adults and equip them to succeed in life after school.

Keep the school hours as is. The change would be great for stay at home parents but for working parents would require morning and afternoon daycare as well as additional cost for taxpayers.

I am a Hartland resident with a freshman in Granby. I have been told with this time change Hartland would no longer be able to provide transportation for the Hartland students attending GMHS because it would interfere with the transportation of Hartland School students. Are we to change schools my child's junior year due to transportation issues? It seems that could have a negative impact on my child, as well as other Hartland children and possibly Hartford students. I feel it is best to leave the current school schedule.

I can't support this change as the impact to my grade school age kids is significant, as is the financial burden on my family. I also 100% believe this should be voted on by the town & not decided just by the BOE.

Please do not change school start times...among other things, such a change would cut into valuable family time in the afternoon and evenings.
