Gambling destroyed my family when my father lost the only home we ever owned due to his gambling debts. Do you want this for other families? We are better than this. PS. I just bought a house in North Bay and will be a tax payer as of April 30th.

I believe locating a casino in North Bay or the surrounding area is not in the best interest of this community and does not support the City's vision of a healthy community.
Daughter Andrea is head Psychologist for 3 elementary schools in Portland, Or.-has dealt with many families in severe turmoil-- directly due to gambling addiction.

NO CASINO IN NORTH BAY. A casino would add nothing of value to our city. Already faced with huge addictions and other social problems, why would we want to add to them? Cause that's a very real outcome if the Casino is approved. Children sitting in cold cars while addicted parent is inside feeding their monthly bills, rent, mortgages etc. into the slot machines. Studies show the ONLY businesses that profit once a casino moves in are the Cash-a-Cheques and the Hock shops.

We have said NO to a casino before for our city after much public discussion of the costs. Why are city councillors letting it rear its ugly head again! Again NO THANKS!

North Bay does not need a casino. The share of revenue received by the city will never cover the increased cost of services required and the value of lost resident spending which would otherwise be spent on local business and charities.

Decisions made by community leaders are too one-sided. We have to build more social capital.

We don't need to be enriching others at the expense of our community here in the north. So much better to keep our city and its people healthy, our money circulating to our own merchants, and to avoid the social costs associated with gambling.

I am whole heartedly opposed to a casino in our beautiful, family oriented city.

Casinos fuel addictions. Children and families suffer. Gambling was once considered to be punishable by prison . So when the government wants more money it's OK ?
