Taxes don't fix anything. The market needs to provide better choices, but cannot if suffocated by taxes.

Enough is enough !!! What do these people think --- obviously they do not care what the average working person has to live on. I think it's time to remove these people from office and replace them with those that have some common sense about the cost of living here. It is not cheap by any means, and to keep expecting us to shell out more and more money just is not right.

What ever your political stripe, this tax is regressive and economically suicidal. Oil and Gas are necessity of modern life. They are already taxed! This proposed tax will hamper consumer spending and business investment.

Another political scam to raise money for other endeavors.
Trust fund babies and newly born college pipe dreamers will defend and support taxes until....
They have to pay taxes
They run out of their parents/grandparents money
The alarm goes off and they wake up an realize how much b.s. they have ingested.
Financially it is hard enough to live in VT (unless on public assistance with heating assistance) and pay the bills now.
Come on wake up and start smelling your "Starbucks" taxachinos.

Please, surviving the cost of heating our homes is at the limits now, the added tax would mean out heat would have to be lowered into the 50s as we now run in the low 60s to survive the cost of heating fuel.

Lawmakers should not burden the poor and middle class with another tax especially one directed on vehicle fuel and heating oil. Simply poor judgement!

Taxes in Vermont are becoming a real burden, especially for the second home owners. This is a bad tax, just when the price of oil has come down. We need a more business friendly atmosphere to encourage companies to do business in Vermont and improve employment.
