Vermont Legislators should be focused on lowering the cost of living, not regressive taxes that increase costs.

Stop the Taxes!!! I am on a fixed income and disabled. I need to drive to work and heat my home I cannot afford anymore.

This tax would be regressive, a job killer, and just plain EVIL. Shame on those who would punish me for having a job, cooking my food, and just plain existing!

Oil and gas are necessities in our rural state. Vermont is already one of the most taxed states in the country, and has one of the lowest carbon footprints. We do not need one more tax!

need less to say, this is a stifling tax that is expected to generate a half BILLION dollars, all candidates need to be held to account for their vote, ask them now before the elections whether they support this

Increasing tax on fuel makes me take my business to NH. Maintaining a small is hard enough without the added cost of this tax. Will no be able to live in VT if these increases continue.

The fact is, this money is not likely to go towards "cleaning up the environment." It is going to go into the pockets of our elected representatives and their friends and families.

If Vermont doesn't start to reduce taxes many folks may have to consider moving out of state to one that has fewer TAXES.

The trouble with taxing oil so much people can't afford it, is not only does it hurt thousands of poor and lower middle class Vermonters who depend on heating oil, it hurts the small businesses who provide it. What is worse, it could drive more people (who can afford a new furnace) to change to natural gas, which would lead to more fracking in VT and that sucks!

I'd like to keep living in Vermont.
Reduce spending and we won't need this tax.
