Having all of these buses driving through local neighborhoods is a really bad idea. The buses should stay where they are or perhaps move to the old landfill site.

A careful reading of this petition proves this plan lacks foresight and thoughtful deliberation and will not be tolerated by East Rockville citizins. It is illogical and and insulting to our neighborhood that this plan was even considered.

Creating a bus depot in Lincoln Park would increase traffic to unsafe levels. The roads are not suitable for the bus traffic and the accompanying increase in car traffic that goes along with supporting and staffing a facility of that size. Increasing the traffic levels to this degree, in a residential area, would create safety issues, cost an unnecessarily high amount of tax dollars compared to other, more suitable sites in the County, and would have a negative impact on property values across the community. Not in my backyard!

This is a residential area. No buses allowed to park here. Streets are too narrow. Too much traffic as it is with the metro. Find another place
There are plenty of vacant lots somewhere else
Instead of building townhouses near shady grove you should have planned for buses there. No one would have been impacted

Placing this bus depot on Westmore Avenue is a terrible idea for the County, county tax-payers, the City of Rockville, the residents of the neighborhood, and the homeowners who would live directly across the street from this facility. The reasons not to locate the bus depot on Westmore Avenue have been laid out in detail in the petition, but I would like to stress the facts that: there is one way in and out of this facility, and it leads to small, residential streets; there are homes directly across from this facility; the buses would have to drive through a residential neighborhood that already has traffic limitations (e.g. 25 mph zones, traffic easing areas); the roads, lights, and turning lanes are not structured to handle this type of bus traffic; the cost of putting the bus depot here has exploded from what was proposed, and is completely unnecessary - the bus depot could be placed in a more suitable location for much less taxpayer money; this plan is completely contrary to the neighborhood plans for the neighborhoods around Westmore Avenue; and this bus depot would have significant negative impacts on the residents of the surrounding neighborhoods, not to mention those living in the homes directly across the street from the proposed site. There are much more suitable options available for significantly less cost and significantly less impact on the residents of the neighborhood and Montgomery County. I urge you to place the bus depot in a location that is much more logical from the perspective of county taxpayers, local residents, and the bus drivers themselves.

This is expensive and a bad idea to the neighborhoods near the proposed parking. Additionally, traffic and congestion issues will result and may affect roads such as HWY 355.

It is indefensible that the MoCo Council or BOE would consider this site for a bus depot. Homeowners are taxpayers - and voters - not school bus drivers or mechanics.

This is a quiet and pleasant neighborhood - adding 100 school buses substantially changes that. Also, traffic already backs up significantly on North Hornets and South Stones tree - this would make it so much worse.
