NO Bell Change for CCSD

This early start will profoundly disrupt our work hours, child care situation and family's sleep/health. Please change it to a more reasonable hour that works for families where both parents are working. 8 am - 3 pm is a good deal more reasonable. Little children should not be standing at a bus stop in the dark, nor should they have to go to sleep at 6 pm, just an hour after their father comes home, to get enough sleep. Please reconsider.

The start time is ridiculously early and will be a detriment to these young children.

Let kids sleep and wake up ready and prepared to learn!!! Quit with all of the standardized tests and there would be more than enough time in the school day!

My rising kindergardener often does not even wake up until 7:30 am these days. This allows her to get enough sleep, so she can be well-rested and ready to learn at preschool. While I recognize she will have to wake up earlier next year for school, it simply is not reasonable to expect that she will be ready to learn at 7:15 each morning!

Elementary school aged children need adequate sleep for their health and overall well being. We can not expect our children to learn when sleep deprived. PLEASE, do not change the current bell times. Thank you.

Please leave our school schedule alone. Elementary school kids are already up early enough!

Leave the elementary school times alone! Middle and High Schools times in these districts need to be revised. Proposed time of 8:20/8:30 for middle and high.

Moving elementary school start time is not a practical solution and should not be a substitute for more busses. The later start time and end time for high school students will result in student athletes missing more of the school day when they travel for away games. What are elementary teachers who have elementary age children supposed to do in order to get their children to school on time and be at work and be on time for work themselves? This will create additional work for the administrative/attendance office because there will be many more tardy students. This will also cause disruption to teachers when students filter into classrooms after class has started.

keep the elementary school times as they are. Middle and High should start at 8:25. Works for Mt Pleasant! It can work for West Ashley!

changing the start time for schools to accommodate the wishes of staff is a terrible idea.
