Keep Shawneeland ammonites and the access roads for Shawneeland residents! We don't need the riff raff and their trash here!

Although this property is not in Shawneeland itself, it's located adjacent to both Shawneeland and Mt. Falls/Wilde Acres. Access to this facility will be by using Shawneeland's Roads. The owners of the proposed B&B and Campground have indicated that it's basically for family and friends. If so, why do you need 30 camping sites? What about the danger possibly created by campfires?

Don’t mind the B&B but definitely against the campground. Too many strangers too often for my peace of mind. Trying to raise a child safely in these times is hard enough without inviting trouble into our own backyard.

Absolutely not! I don’t agree with this at all. I have been coming to Shawneeland since I was a kid. And I have never been so disappointed than I am now. I remember when there was a guard in the guard shack and we had to have passes to get in. We pay a lot to live in here more now than ever and we have lived here for almost 19 years as permanent residents. Everyone and their brother comes and goes and uses our ammineties that we as residents pay for. We could have so much more if things were done correctly. Please do not allow this B&B to come into our community.

I feel that this BUSINESS does not belong at the top of a suburban neighborhood, accessing our roads, and enjoying amenities they have no right to, as guests of the campgrounds and not residents of the area. Who is profiting from this? And why was it not brought to the attention of the Shawneeland residents and board until now?

We bought in shawneeland because it is a private mountain community. we do not want a business using our private roads and amenities that we pay for!!! There is no way ot is for private use! We were not informed in a timely manner, and we do not believe that his intentions are true!

Even if it were for private use, who really needs space for almost 200 friends and/or family? That's insane. Also, shouldn't the kitchen in this b&b do just fine? Why would you honestly need a commercial kitchen?

Why would you need that much if it’s just family and “friends”? You need a commercial kitchen, full scale B&B, and enough bunk sites to house practically the entire neighborhood? They need their own entrance and if it’s technically not a part of Shawneeland then NO ONE from their party should have access to the Shawneeland amenities. The lake is in poor enough condition as it is.
