The court decided against bail and he will stay in jail. I am drained from this fight but relieved that our community finally has some security. Keep your eyes on the courthouse because we need to make sure this outcome holds.

The weight of this situation is clear to anyone paying attention to the damage being done in our town. I have spent the last few days meeting with others who are equally exhausted by this cycle and we are preparing to present our case directly to the courthouse.

The momentum behind this effort has grown into something I honestly did not think was possible at the start. It is exhausting to keep fighting, but seeing this level of public insistence proves that we are finally being taken seriously.

Please I am asking for you to deny any bail for Jimmie Houston. He is a flight risk and a danger to the community of Utqiagvik. He has been a known drug dealer since the the 1980's - a convicted felon who lives within approximate 1mile radius from the Elementary and High School.
What gave you the right to ruin lives in barrow. All the pain you caused by selling drugs to are people. You ruin a once perfect town and turned lifes into druggies. Hope you spend all your life behind bars. We are a strong people and we can over come this by healing now that you are in jail. No bail
Meth, heroin & loaded gun just yards from our childrens school. The #s rising in drug related death across the North Slope too. He deserves all the time for his crime.
My brother died because of these kind of people selling drugs & Alcohol in Barrow Alaska ! No Bail never to return To Utqiagvik,Alaska
The distribution of the drugs from Jimmy has got to be out to a stop! Our community is suffering from the affects of what he's been distributing to our community long enough! Children placed in foster/state care due to the addiction over caring for the young, taking food off there tables, lack of care supervison and motivation to provide a healthy safe structured home! Our community has had enough the drugs have caused much turmoil to family and friends lives. Broken up homes, marriages, family ties, taken people's sanity and precious lives taken too soon! No Bail for Jimmy!

It is In loving memory of my dad Leroy Oenga Sr. And my sister Piquk N. Oenga who have both died of drug over doses. My dad Leroy Died in Utqaigvik few years ago!!!! No more deaths to fill his pockets with blood money, tuvra!
